On Creativity

[3 August 2008 - Higher Awareness]
"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world."
     -- Albert Einstein

"Just as our eyes need light in order to see, our minds need ideas in order to conceive."
     -- Napoleon Hill

"Anyone can look for fashion in a boutique or history in a museum. The creative explorer looks for history in a hardware store and fashion in an airport."

  2. There are all kinds of 'Creativity':

There is thoughtless creativity - throwing paint against a wall.

Much more interesting is thoughtful creativity.

In fact can one not be creative if one thinks for oneself ie take time to reflect and pursue one's own thoughts.

The problem for us all is that there is very little creativity because so few of us stop and think for ourselves.

Thinking about how we think is even rarer.

If only we only taught people to think. To ask lots of 'Why's as we did when we were growing up. Then we wouldn't need to be taught information and trained - not to think.

Then we would have a lotof creative people -

How would our staid society cope? !

    It couldn't.

So perhaps we should be creative in our cells if we don't want to rock any boats!

Perhaps its safe - to walk the streets. . .

There are very few creative people around!

    "Come out of hiding everyone"

"We've got those creative bastards under control."

    "Given them so much to think about . . . . . . they don't have time to think . . . . . and be creative!
