Change

"You never change things by fighting the existing reality. To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete." -- R. Buckminster Fuller

  1. Your "Change" post caught my attention with its simple yet powerful quote, so appropriate at this time for me. I am a student in a teacher certification program; blogging is an assignment. I have watched my children graduate from college and now my time has come to change careers and embrace change. I have followed your blog for some time now and it has led me to think deeply about creativity and imagination; I have followed some of the links and find myself fascinated with the neurology of learning disabilities and the brain. Thanks!

  2. Thanks for your comment and for reading. That quote that I randomly came across seemed quite appropriate these days. Where are you studying? The topic of creative education is an important piece of my creativity work. Do you find that your program regularly emphasizes the topic of deliberate creativity; or do you have to seek it information on this topic on your own?

  3. I am a student at the University of Washington, Bothell campus. I am going back to school after many years to become an elementary ed teacher. My background includes an economics degree. I find creativity and imagination to be a part of the education curriculum, but I have also been seeking additional information and resources on this topic of deliberate creativity. Thanks for responding!
